The PADI Divemaster course is PADI’s first professional qualification and your passport to a career in the diving industry:
- Independent home study of your Divemaster manual and the Encyclopedia of Recreational Diving at your own pace (we will deliver this to you when you book and pay for your course). There are 9 knowledge reviews in the course manual must be completed prior to your tutorial sessions.
- Internship with your instructor. Assist and learn how to supervise diving activities for certified divers, assist instructors with training student divers and learn to instruct skin diving and snorkelling courses. You will also need to demonstrate that you have exemplary diving skills and role model behaviour, solid rescue skills, professional level knowledge of dive theory, dive management and supervision abilities and competence as a certified assistant.
- Examinations to assess your knowledge of diving theory.
Course Pre-requisites:
- PADI Open Water Diver certification
- PADI Advanced Open Water Diver certification
- PADI Rescue Diver certification
- Minimum age 18
- Current dive medical
- 60 logged dives
- current EFR or equivalent first aid qualification
